NZS 5454 – Standard requirements for lightweight steel automotive compressed natural gas cylinders for use in New Zealand
Applies to those cylinders with a normal maximum operating pressure of 20 MPa specifically designed for use in motor vehicles. Certain requirements for materials specifications, materials mechanical testing, cylinder manufacturing methods and Quality Assurance are addressed. A number of pressure tests are specified which cylinders must satisfactorily comply with to obtain the required approval. Requirements for design submission to NZ Statutory Authorities are specified.
